The Full Story

Sound Insurance Solutions was established by Kirsten and Brandon Keneipp. Our passion is always guided by putting the client at the center of all we do, and we are committed to walking with you through your entire insurance journey, from start to finish. We believe that insurance is not one size fits all, and we see ourselves as educators. Our favorite thing to do is to simplify the complicated for our clients! We will always do so by offering our time, knowledge, compassion and empathy.

After 18 years of working for health insurance carriers focusing on Medicare, Kirsten realized that she wanted to serve her community more directly than she could working for an insurance corporation. Kirsten's goal is to offer a larger portfolio of insurance options than she was able to offer by working directly for an insurance carrier. She took her first job in the health insurance industry at just 15 years old, and she has been compelled to help people navigate the confusion of health insurance ever since. Kirsten would love to help guide you as you step into this new venture (or aid you in transitioning from one carrier to another). There are many critical steps to consider as you enroll in a health insurance plan, and as a perfectionist focused on every intricate detail, Kirsten will make sure to exceed your health insurance expectations.

Brandon, Kirsten's partner, is a passionately driven educator who will put your needs first. He truly cares about each and every client, and he will take his time listening to your story, ensuring he uses it to find a plan that is a good match for you. He has been around insurance in one form or another for over 16 years. A businessman and employer, Brandon has been by Kirsten's side for many years as she has navigated the health insurance industry and has supported her and learned so much during his exposure.

Kirsten and Brandon share three kids, ages 14, 12 and 9. We believe in community and love supporting our own. We are avid outdoor adventurers and love hiking, camping, kayaking and more. Our three children keep us busy outside of work with their sports: Scouting, track, football, baseball and roller derby. Washington is our home, and we care about it. That said, we care deeply about the people, too.

Meet Our Team

Kirsten Keneipp

Owner / Licensed Producer

Kirsten got her start in the insurance industry nearly 30 years ago, working for a self-insurance company in Northern California. Almost 20 years ago, she refined that passion, narrowing her focus to insurance education.

In 2007, Kirsten had the opportunity to help launch a local Medicare Advantage Plan started by physicians in Washington State (Soundpath Health). She navigated a successful career doing what she loves most: Helping Medicare beneficiaries navigate the Medicare Maze. When Soundpath Health sold its membership to Premera Blue Cross in 2018 (plan year 2019), Kirsten joined the Premera sales team. She has spent the past six years educating members and producers alike, spending her final year at Premera as the Senior Manager of Sales for the Medicare Market. In 2024, Kirsten decided it was time to get back to focusing on serving her community more directly. Therefore, Sound Insurance Solutions was born, with the goal of educating our neighbors, friends and fellow Washingtonians on their health insurance options.

Brandon Keneipp

Owner / Licensed Producer

Brandon is an entrepreneur, business owner and educator, and he has been serving his community in Washington for most of his life. Having grown up as a Washington local, he understands the importance and value of the connection between people that share the same basic needs.

In 2009, Brandon launched his first business, where he focuses on educating customers on their auto insurance options on a daily basis. He is passionate about talking each person through all of their options, and explaining the risks and benefits in a way that is comprehensive, yet easy to understand. Keeping the customer's needs at top of mind is always a core focus for Brandon.
